Hey Friend!

I am the owner of Natalie's Hair Atelier and an independent stylist in the Des Moines/Urbandale area. I create customized looks for each guest who walks in my door.

My goal is to create hair to work with you and your lifestyle. I firmly believe your hair should reflect WHO you are, not HIDE who you are!

I work with many busy teachers and creatives trying to balance it all. I love creating low-maintenance colors and blending grays, opposed to completely covering them. My favorite service in the world is creative colors and vivid color services. I serve all that up with all the authentic vibes!

I am described as a modern hippie. I work hard to be eco-conscientious and I love supporting local and women-owned businesses. You can find me enjoying outside, running, hanging with my German Shorthair Pointers, reading Banned Books, and being the gym rate I am. I am a very proud intersectional feminist, and I am not shy about that. In and out of the salon, I prioritize increasing the feminine energy we all hold!

I am a cancer survivor, and combined with the lessons cancer gave me, I also have a background in social work. These granted me the compassion to understand every person has a story we can all learn from. When you are a guest of mine, you will always feel heard, as a human, and as a client. When we are having our consultation I will ask you ask many questions and ensure we are both clear on the plan and consent to moving forward.​
